Lisa R. Burns

Attorney brookfield

When you think of literary heroes, Harry Potter might come to mind. But for Lisa, it’s always been Atticus Finch, the noble public defender from To Kill a Mockingbird. That, and an interest in politics as well as a deep respect for the American system of government, is what led her to a career in law. After developing a further interest in helping children in divorce cases, Lisa now practices Family law in addition to Criminal law at WFJ.

Lisa describes herself as an avid reader and podcast aficionado, especially podcasts about wrongful convictions, thanks to the award-winning “Serial.”
